The IT Department^® began servicing clients in the Ottawa area in 1997 and was incorporated in its present form in 1998, in Ottawa, Ontario.  At the time, The IT Department Inc. was one of the first outsourcing providers to make enterprise class IT support available to smaller businesses—at small business prices.
